Volunteer Of the Month

June - Doug & Renee Carson, 4200 Lavaca
Doug and Renee have been active volunteers for Creekside North for several years. They have worked with maintenance and relandscaping our subdivision entry at Marianne and Park Blvd. One of Renee's projects was to coordinate the Fall "You've Been Boo'ed" throughout out the neighborhood for 2007 and 2008. They are an example of enthusiasm for all our neighbors in Creekside North. Thank you to this couple for their endeavors for the community.

July - Alan Smith - Alan has been involved with the HOA in the political arena. As an avid local government participant, he attends the city council and planning and zoning meeting for current issues of interest. He has a long history of representing the East area of Plano, speaking up at the meetings and making presentations when necessary. Alan communicates with neighbors and other HOAs to build support for the topics affecting this side of town. A few of the issues that he participated in were the Wal-Mart location, Kroger shopping center, and the current Research & Technology Zoning issue for 14th Street & Los Rios Blvd. Alan is a volunteer whose lobby hobby is our benefit. Thanks to Alan for being involved. He also was HOA president several years ago!

August - Sandy Ptacek - A familiar name to most homeowners in Creekside North. Most people recognize her smiling face at all the community events in recent years. Know by only Sandy, since some may not know her name is pronounced as 'Ta-check'. As our HOA president, Sandy took care of business for several years in our community. You remember how she negotiated to get our perimeter brick fence painted, organized many new community events such as the Fourth of July Parade, Doggie Contest, Christmas Decoration Contest and Party, Easter Egg Hunt, neighborhood garage sale and community garbage container. Sandy and Bill reared two active daughters here and now take care of their parents. Busy Sandy still offers to help when needed although she has done enough help to the community to last a lifetime. We certainly appreciate Sandy's involvement in our community making it a special place for families.
